I'm the biggest hater of western medicine and have been for years now (ever since I lost 150 lbs on my own, learned about actual health, and realized doctors purposely kept me sick as a child and fat-shamed me, rather than finding a root cause or giving actual healthy or beneficial suggestions), but Advocate continues to impress me. I loved Dr Sheehan. She was down-to-earth, smart, and witty. The craziest part is that I only turn to doctors when I've hit my breaking point, and I scheduled this appt looking for a drug script (for adhd). Obviously, drugs are against everything I stand for, but I felt that I had exhausted all my options, so I impulsively (but also reluctantly) scheduled the appointment. If this was my former "health"care system (cough NORTHSHORE/ENDEAVOR), they would've gladly handed over some disgusting pharmaceutical.. no questions asked. I appreciate that Dr Sheehan did not do this (even if it is what I wanted in the moment). Every doctor I have come across at Advocate is like this, and even thought I'll never not be skeptical, and even thought I understand money needs to be made and the healthcare system is corrupt, I truly appreciate the overall approach that every Advocate provider gives. It gives me (a little) hope, because the care seems genuine. The only positive thing I can say about NorthShore, is that they referred my son to a pediatric pulmonologist through Advocate, because thats not something they offer. I would've never known this healthcare system existed if not for them.

Appreciate having such a dedicated healthcare provider. Dr.Julie is always finding ways to help me improve the quality of my life. Especially through the many stressful medical events I have experienced this last year.
Dr. Sheehan is a great provider. Not only did she listen, she also took time to educate me as well.
The virtual appointment was very easy to access. My time with Dr. Sheehan was very satisfying. She is an excellent listener, and always provides solutions to address my concerns.
