My 1st visit to Dr. Dhillon's new office since she had to move to the new Immediate Care facility on Randall Road in South Elgin. Reception area was pleasant but still trying to get used to the hallways and monitor tags to proceed to her office corridor. I was shocked, however, to see there is a non-ADA curb in front of the building. Patients with wheelchairs need to travel to adjacent storefronts in order to gain access to the sidewalk/entranceway?
Dr Dhillon is an excellent, caring, knowledgeable doctor who knows my medical history and treats me with respect.
The new call service at the new office is terrible. I waited on hold one day for 25 minutes and then got disconnected. Then again call back the next day waited 18 minutes and then they were switching me to different departments I think they need to hire more telephone service people. When I used to call my doctor's old office, they would answer right away and you would get an answer from them now they call you back and you can't get through have to time.
Dr. Dhillon is always ready to listen and is always pleasant and ready to help. She also has a nice staff. I did like her prior office better but do not blame her. I do not walk well and it is a very long walk to her office but girls in front did offer wheelchair and are most pleasant.
I'm not a fan of the new building on Randall Road. Too big and impersonal. The check-in progress seemed to take longer than the doctor visit because staff was not adequately trained and the computer system was too difficult for them
My doctor knows me and my body better than I do! She is so knowledgeable and has helped me more than words can say all these years. She spends time with me and explains everything so that I understand. It is always a joyful experience because I feel cared about and tended to.
