My experiences at Advocate have been very positive. I left another provider--NWM--and felt unappreciated, not listened to or particularly well cared for--just a body. The office was happy to try and schedule me to referred health car professionals, the office staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful. The lab experience was excellent--much better than Quest or other contract providers at other facilities.

Dr LaMaster is awesome.

My provider was very through with my wellness check. He was very detailed to assist me with my short and long range health needs.

Dr. LaMaster is my new PCP and so far I am very pleased with his level of care. It's never easy to change doctors after nearly 30 years, so the transition to him, as well as to the Advocate family and systems has been easy, stress-free, and seamless. Overall, I am very impressed with the care, the staff, and the ways information is shared before, during, and after visits. It's refreshing to have this kind of positive personal interactions within a large medical system. Other systems could learn a few things from the way Advocate is run.

It would be nice for the doctor to use my name when greeting me, especially since I've been going there for years. I understand there's a worry to mis-pronounce or mix up names - it would be nice, though. If that's the only suggestion I have, that means that things are good. :)
