The Advocate phone system for patients, and in particular trying to obtain an appointment, is too complex, tedious, and impersonal, and too centralized (i.e., one central appointment center for all Advocate patients). It should be possible to call the particular group that one's physician belongs to to obtain an appointment.

Steve Potts gets 5 stars in all areas - he is an exceptional doctor! However, Advocate has been switching the time of apts on the portal but with no phone call or notification of the change in time. This has happened to my partner several times and happened to me at this apt. I know with complete certainly that I made this apt for 1 p.m., because that is Dr. Potts first apt time on the day he sees patients. After waiting 25 minutes, I was told my apt was not until 1:30 p.m. I don't know what is going on with the system, but any change in apt time should warrant a PHONE CALL to the patient.
