More personal time with doctor
12:30 appt, arrived at Noon, didn't see doctor til almost 3. Staff member didn't bother asking me to roll up sleeve and took blood pressure over my long sleeved arm. Doctor told me of high pressure reading, but didn't take a second reading. Even before COVID, noticed decline in service at this location. High doctor and staff turnover, unusually long wait times. Seeking another provider at this time.
Life
Provider personnel was cold ; no compassion; spoke to me but never looking at me. Provider himself had the same disposition. Provider personnel was great after I asked if she liked her job! My blood pressure went 161/90 to 120/90!!!!!!!
I arrived a little early for my appointment but waited over an hour before I was called. Besides the wait, the visit was fine.
I understand it is impossible to know all your patients and treat them as such and I also understand that doctors are only human and since Covid the number of people with underline health conditions have sky rocketed so, if nothing else please refer patients for additional help such as a cardiologist etc. because, high blood pressure can be the cause of some other condition. Changing blood pressure meds only puts a bandaid on the problem and it ends up leading to something else due to its side effects.
It's just a long wait time to see the doctor.
All good
Dr. Singh has been our doctor for about 30 years. I think they overbook his appointments and sometimes you have to wait an hour before you see him. It was better before when you could call his office if you had a question instead of a central appointment number.
Notification to the patient that the attending Phycian is behind and give an estimated time you will be seen by the doctor. Also his bedside demeanor could use some improvement. It felt as though, he didn't want to be there or uplifting to the patient.
