I was made comfortable in what could have been a naturally awkward visit.

I saw Dr. Kenneth Gilbertson about a spot on my face: my spouse was concerned about skin cancer. Dr. Gilbertson examined my face thoroughly and found 3 precancerous areas, and also some spots that weren't. He explained in detail why he could tell they were precancerous and showed some pictures as part of the explanation. Because I'm a runner and spend a lot of time outside, he also recommended ways to protect my skin with specific kinds of hats and sunscreen. He explained treatment options and outcomes, and treated the areas. I really appreciated that he took the time to fully explain what he was seeing. He answered questions that I should have thought of and I left feeling that I had all the information that I needed, and am thankful that he shared his detailed knowledge. I did not feel rushed during the appointment. He'd even provided tips on swimming technique, since we had discussed endurance sports. I am very happy to have found him and am grateful for the referral.
