The receptionist was not kind. I was running late to our appointment, and called prior to the appointment starting. I was told they were aware. Then, while checking in, I was informed this was marked as a no call no show. I do not feel like this was fair to me. I do know it was on me for being late, however, as a parent of three kids, life happens. I called prior to arriving to make the staff aware. I explained that I did speak with Auroras representative on the phone and he told me that they were going to be aware. Then, the receptionist trash talked the person who answered my call saying they were not good at their job and those calls go no where anyways. This makes me uneasy about the communication level, though Dr Beno is fantastic, other hospital staff members really disappointed us this time.

Check in and check out always seem to take a long time. I do the pre check in but am still asked the same questions when I get in to the office. I always have to wonder what they are doing on the computer that takes so much time. There is no sense of urgency by the front desk team. Check in and check out are my least favorite part of the entire visit.

I feel like Dr Beno goes above and beyond explaining what is normal and what to expect with kids. I also appreciate seeing him clean his stethoscope and other instruments after he uses them just for my own piece of mind.

Overall, the experience was fine. Being our first time in the clinic, I was hoping the provider would want to start off the visit asking about ourselves but jumped right in. If we were asked, I could have easily provided that I have a medical background and the provider could have tailored his information to my level of understanding. However, information came across as I was medical illiterate, which was frustrating.
