She wrote my pain medication and gave me enough to actually get me through the entire month. To keep me from going to emergency room.

It was inappropriate of my previous PCP to walk into this visit with my NP without permission or prior request. Very upsetting and unwelcome.

Carol was pleasant and helpful. I'm not sure she knew what to do for me. I appreciate it when a health care professional says "I don't know but I'll get you to someone who will know." She did not do that. She made some suggestions to try at home, but not a regimen or tell me when to come/call back if my issue persisted.

It is such a shame you can't see your personal Dr.when you need to. I don't see the purpose of having a primary Dr. and you can't see them when needed. Nothing against the nurse practitioner because she was great. Having to see someone different each time you need to see a Dr. is just too much. I should just go to the emergency room or Urgent Care and be done with it. Not a happy patient. Thing like this can cause stress and anxiety when it shouldn't have to be.
