I have been a patient of Downer Grove Family Practice for 35 years. I have had an overall great history with the providers. I was not at all pleased with the bedside manner that Dr Hulesch had with me. I came in to discuss three health issues. The first one was an on going cough and sneezing that the Dr never really addressed. The second two were male sexual health concerns and by no means were they easy to discuss. Dr Hulesch showed very little empathy with my concerns. He was very matter of fact and I just need to deal with it. And to top it off, he wrote things in my report saying that I was nervous/anxious. As stated, it was not an easy thing to discuss and I feel that he just rubbed it in my face. I was hoping to get some guidance as to what my course of action was and the only thing that I feel about my visit is humiliated. I feel as my entire visit was a waste of time.
Good visit and glad I made it.
I was given three referrals for recommended tests. One test I was able to schedule using the Portal. I was given no information on how to schedule the other two tests. I had to re-contact my Preferred Provider to find out how/when the tests would be scheduled. A nurse responded with a telephone number. I have no idea who it is - guess I have to do their job.
Excellent medical care was provided.
This was sn annual medicare well ess exam, however no phydical exam took place.

The experience was educational for me. I came out of the appointment with a greater knowledge of issue I have.
Very knowledgeable and caring doctor. We came in as new patients, entire family, with lots of issues and questions. We had to join the Advocate system to get top care for these issues. We weren't rushed at all. I feel confident we are in good hands.
