Dr Mensen was to the point in answering questions about the different questions I had for Him regarding the different conditions I have. I am very glad he took me as a patient.
Working with Dr. Mensen is very satisfying and I have no complaints about him at all. How your organization handles patient phone calls and appointment matters is another story. In a word trying to communicate with Advocat-Aurora is a nightmare. Stop being Big Business and remember you are dealing with people not their checkbooks!

The outpatient receptionist was not courteous, abrasive in her approach to announcing a call over, and seamed miserable. I was standing back in the roped off waiting line, waiting to be called next, and saw two available masked receptionists. Then I heard a "Next" get voiced. I couldn't tell if it was the left or right individual calling me over to check-in. I asked, "Which is calling?". "Me." Was the response with no body movement indicated to show, come hither. So I walked over to right, and the receptionist on left, raised her voice loudly in irritated tone, restating "Me". I told her that I didn't know who was talking because the MASK was covering a mouth talking. I am particularly hard of hearing and rely on movement to understand clearly what is being communicated. Receptionists that continue to MASK need to use body movements, or standing up to indicate their directions.
Dr Mensen is very attentive, and proactive. He listens and is always approachable, respectful and friendly. I've recommended him to coworkers and friends
