The reception desk person for this department was handling a call when I arrived at the department. He was unable to greet me. I stood back and waited. When another patient arrived, he too had to wait. When the reception desk person completed the call, the second arrival was immediately helped. This seemed rather rude on the part of the patient #2. In retrospect, I am sure this person was more important than me. I felt bad for the reception desk person as he had to deal with patient #2. Reception desk person was very gracious and handled the situation well. Depending on patient load and schedule, you may want to better balance desk staff. It is not like you don't know when patients will arrive.

I was a first time patient with this physician and with Aurora, so it was understandable that he didn't have my entire medical history at this fingertips. Appointment was for a second opinion regarding a THA.
