A good doctor, do care about patients, instructions are clear!

I would have felt very strange had Dr. Heyrman, my Ophthalmologist, engaged in discussions of eating and exercise as well as other health goals. His talk had to do with my eyes and the laser he was using to clear the lens in my eye. He did a wonderful job of lowering my anxiety about the procedure. His staff were all super! My Primary Care doc and I discuss all those other things at length. I do believe it is helpful to be sure that someone in the patients care team does all those things, Thanks for asking.
I go in for an annual eye checkup. So far so good, but at my age I cannot be too careful, so I need my eyesight to be monitored on an annual basis, unless it becomes apparent that a more frequent evaluation or intervention is required.
I felt rushed and still left with questions that I didn't have a chance to ask.
I felt the doctor was kind in his demeanor. However, he was very quick to dismiss me because I didn't fit the mold of the majority of his patients. He kept insisting on the same protocol instead of working with me to find something that worked for me. You don't keep doing the same things and expect different results.
Always seems to be my most enjoyable appointment!
The technicians and front desk people who work with Dr. Heyrman are the nicest people I have ever encountered in a medical setting. They are friendly, welcoming and proficient at their jobs. It's really refreshing to experience this. I wish you could figure out what's going on and spread it to the rest of your facilities' staff. Great people.
