Dr. Gupta is a thorough medical professional who listens to patients issues and sees to it that the health concerns are addressed and continues to see that the pharmacy's are alerted with the prescribed medications needed. He is a Doctor who does not rush you in and out like many doctors do. He listens and hears the concerns of his patients. The person at the front desk told me when I checked in that the provider was not in network, then looked at my card and said, "we are in network for Blue Edge", but when following up with my insurance, indeed the provider is not in network. I would have just cancelled my appointment had I known that at the time of check in. I'm not upset with the person at the front desk, but it might be recommended that they NEVER assume or tell a patient that their insurance is accepted without 100% certainty. Now I have both a doctor's visit and labs that are out of network and that I cannot even follow-up with (unless I stay out of network) and have to move everything to another provider. It has all just ended up being a huge unproductive use of time and money, and I would have cancelled the appointment on the spot had the person at the front desk not said anything about "we should cover" or "do cover" this type of insurance. It's just frustrating dealing with all of this now after the fact. --- As far as the actual care, I didn't feel like Dr. Gupta was completely listening to me. He was explaining a lot of health concepts that I was already very familiar with and giving me what I felt like were "canned" or "generic" responses. Maybe that's all that is really possible on a first appointment, but I didn't completely feel like I was getting individualized care or advice. Could just be my perception versus reality. In either scenario, unfortunately, I will not be able to build more rapport with Dr. Gupta because his services are out of network, and I'll be switching to a different PCP.

I went in for a physical and blood work. Dr Gupta did not seem to listen to my concerns at all. He repeatedly interrupted and interjected cliche medical jargon. I waited months to get this physical he examined me for about 90 seconds. Now I need to get a REAL physical from a different Dr.
