Doctor Hicks was great. His staff was also great. I would certainly recommend him to anyone.
My primary care doctor is the best one I have ever had. He listens and takes time to hear you out and do whatever he can to help you understand. In addition, if there's a genuine health concern he is great about getting labs or referrals to specialists, if needed. He puts notable effort into trying to help figure out what is going on. It feels like I'm included and heard in my care. I have also gained the most information about myself medically, that I didn't have or know about before. I have already recommended friends to this doctor.
I did not appreciate having to wait for over an hour, alone, in the room waiting for the doctor. I understand having an appointment later in the day can have a cascade effect if there's a delay earlier on in the day. No one informed me what was happening with the delay. After the 1st 30mins of waiting. A nurse popping in to at least explain the issue would've been nice. Because after an hour I really was beginning to think I was forgotten about and was about to leave.
On call team listened and assisted according to my chart and medical history. They took my concern seriously and formlated a treatment plan. They scheduled my next day follow up while I was on the phone. Dr. Ryan Hicks and is team were amazing the next day! Reviewed the course of action that was taken, medical exam to determine course of treatment and then discussed red flags to watch for. I left with a complete game plan and a course of treatment. Forever grateful to this team!
This was my first visit to Dr.Hicks. I left feeling he explained in detail how he felt about my current health and suggestions for moving forward. The entire staff i found to be very nice.
