I would choose this provider in the future.
Dr. Darr is great, but for the first time with him, I felt rushed. There were a couple more examples of my issue that I wanted to show him, but he jumped in and gave the diagnosis before I could get to them. I'm aware providers are really crunched because of the number of patients they must see each day. I got the feeling that maybe he was behind and felt he could make up some time by handling my case quickly. Now, that's a guess and I have no idea if it's correct.
Need more info
He appeared to have more of a sports medicine focus than I was expected
the doctor seemed to be rushed and didn't explain the treatment and what to expect
My doctors failed to communicate with Sedgwick (my short term disability guys) in a timely fashion. I was unaware the docs/ nurses were waiting on my post op visit before sending updated medical info to Sedgwick. They ultimately closed/ denied my claim. Now I have to suffer 5 weeks without a paycheck. I wish everyone would have communicated with each other better then I feel I wouldn't be in this current situation.
His nurses are the Best!
Dr. Darr and his nurse were kind and very considerate of my needs. They listened. Dr. Darr was so quick with both needles that I could not panic. He treated me with respect and dignity. I trust him to do my knee surgeries. I did not realize how great he was until he was able to place both needles in between my knees with the limited space without scraping my bones. I do need more strategies for pain relief because I was at about level 8 pain for the last week. I am not able to sleep because of increased activities at work outside of my normal exercise routine. I was unable to walk by the end of the day. Everytime I moved my knee pain shot straight down my left leg. This morning I have to hold on to things to walk.
This was my first visit with this provider; he addressed my questions and listened carefully in order to make plans for the next steps in my care.
The doctor did not personally examine my shoulder. He reviewed x-rays and did move or rotate my arm. He did not hear clicks or observe the knot in the back of my shoulder. I don't he believed I was in pain. All in all not very personable or interested in my issues.
