Dr. Shah was wonderful. He explained everything in a calm and easy to understand way. He talked directly to my daughter a teenager and engage her 100% so that he could truly get a picture of her migraines and what has not worked and to make a plan. He is fantastic at providing options in a 1-2-3 way with pros and cons of each and does collaborative decision making with the patient and parent. Dr. Shah's med assistant that checked us in virtually was wonderful- I love this as it does not take away from some of the providers time. Also the ease to schedule a follow up appointment was spot on.

The provider was very knowledgeable and explained everything. But he seemed too happy while discussing a potential issue which kind of looked like he lacked compassion on the situation. I mean as a diagnostician, he can be happy about how he could diagnose correctly but while sharing a news that is not so pleasant for the family, I think seeming too happy looks inappropriate. Also, the kid did not need to know all the details of his condition. Had we known that he was going to explain in detail, one of the parents would have taken the child out of the room so he would not have been too exposed to all the details of the issue. Again, the doctor was very knowledgeable and we trust his opinion.
