I understand doctors schedules can get pushed back due to many reason. I waited 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment and was left sitting in the waiting room wondering how long it was going to be before I was seen. I decided to speak with the receptionist who gave me a generic sorry and your next. I was going to walk out in 10 minutes and demand a refund of my co-pay. Several minutes later my name was called. I told the person who checked me into the room I needed to leave in 6 minutes for an appointment. I'm now 40-45 minutes past my appointment time. He said the Dr would not be done by then. I started to get up to leave and he asked me to hold on. He retrieved a PA who asked if I was ok with her seeing me, and I was. She finished and I was out within another 5 minutes. I was going to demand a refund of my co-pay as I left but decided not to make a fuss in front of others. To my surprise before I got to my car, I got a notice that my co-pay was refunded. I appreciate that!!! However, I will not sit in a waiting room much past 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment before I leave. My time is just as important as the Dr's time, and I will not put up with unreasonable wait times!!!!

Very nice visit. Everyone was professional and treated me very kindly, environment was clean and calming. I needed to get an X-ray and need help standing, turning, taking a few steps. When I asked them to use a gait belt for assistance. NO GAIT BELT IN THE PRACTICE. what? An ortho practice without a gait belt. This is a basic tool to help with assistance and safety. I discussed this with Dr. O'Donnell. She said she'd bring it to attention of the members of the practice.
My nurse who put my cast on was wonderful. She took lots of time with me and was very kind.
This appointment was only for a surgical follow up to remove sutures, provide further instructions for initial Physical Therapy appointment/home exercise directives & to take a follow up xray. All PA's & Techs that I saw were very friendly and provided the care & information needed in a professional way.
