The doctor listened to each and every question I put forward. He answered each of my questions fully. He did not rush me but gave his full attention. He went over details of what to watch for as I progress in age. I felt very good as I left his office.

Attempting to see a specialist for the first time is very difficult. The wait is often long and difficult. Your doctor recommended the specialist, and you need to wait at least one to two months to see them. Sometimes the referring physician is concerned, and therefore, the patient feels the concern of the referring physician. When contacting someone to get the appointment, you then have to wait and wonder how important/needed the referral is. Will you get sicker while you wait? Should the issue be addressed sooner, then the scheduler can get you in to see the specialist? It is not a good process.

When I expressed one of my few concerns about A-fib returning, he asked if I would like to wear a monitor for a few days as it might provide some reassurance or indicate a change in treatment. A nurse helped me with it and complete instructions. I will be happy to have those results, in any case.
