Dr Ammar is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He spends enough time with you so you understand what is going on, what can be planned for your treatment and your follow-up. I would highly recommend this physician.
Dr. Ammar immediately identified a problem that I had normalized. I was merely there for a routine visit & had no "complaints". Historically the last 4yr I have experienced countless instances of Aurora physicians gaslighting or failing to provide care that was needed. Upon seeing Dr. Ammar during this appointment, he did an exam and shared his findings and then asked about subjective data. He confirmed what I was experiencing was in fact not normal and needed to be treated/better managed. At no point in time did he discount my experience or question the authenticity of my symptoms. He validated absolutely everything and provided suggestions/options. I had moved all of my care to Froedtert with the exception of cardiology as Dr Ammar has saved me from an open heart surgery and continues to monitor my conditions closely and validate concerns. He has a great bedside manner, is so smart and I do feel like he genuinely cares about his patients' quality of life.
Was not called back until over an hour past the scheduled appointment time. As an Aurora employee myself I was frustrated at the obvious disregard of patients' time. Constantly overbooking doctors in this manner is a large dissatisfier and makes me less likely to seek follow up appointments in this department when I take vacation time to attend. I'm discouraged knowing nothing will likely change.
I waited an hour before I was seen. After I was examined by the Dr I was told to wait for the nurse to bring me the instructions in print that the Dr had gone over with me. After another 10 minutes, I had to tell the staff I needed to leave because I had another appointment at my home that I was already 10 minutes late for. They apologized & said the instructions would be in my LiveWell app.
The wait was over an hour and a half. I got there at 10:15 and didn't leave till 12:30 for a 15 minute appt
I had to wait 30 minutes and went to the front desk to ask if the admittance was properly processed. He went in to the back to check on the delay. I was taken into the office soon after.
Explained everything in a understandable way. Answered all my questions. Gave me some recommendations to check into
My usual Aurora staff & volunteers experience -- professional, thorough and efficient, friendly, positive and cheerful, welcoming and helpful.
I always enjoy my experience with Dr.Ammar. He is the best doctor in the world, I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends. I love Dr.Ammar he is definitely heaven sent.
I highly recommend Dr. Ammar for cardiac care.
