This was the 2nd time in recent visits where the Dr. seemed annoyed by my questions and only gave me very fast, quick answers to my questions. Some of his answers were simply "because we recommend it" or "that's why we recommend it" rather than explaining the reasons behind it. It is my responsibility to manage my care and understand it. That is evident to me by the fact that I often have to remind him of what we've done or said in prior visits. I didn't appreciate the short snippy replies to my questions as if he knew best and I shouldn't question him, when at the same time he wasn't aware that I had been taken off a medication (we had talked about it in prior visits). I understand completely that Dr.'s have many patients and it must be very difficult to keep track of everything. That is precisely why I believe its my job to keep track of my health care. That being said, if I am willing to have that understanding and acceptance, along with paying hundreds of dollars for a 30 minute visit, then I need my Dr. to be willing to answer my questions and have conversation about my treatment without seeming annoyed that I'm asking something or rushing to be done with me.
