Dr. Shahab is a very professional and efficient caregiver. She is a stickler for details. For example, she wanted to get an average for my blood pressure and patiently waited as I opened my Advocate Home Health app to give her the information. She goes over my labs but sometimes I need to stop and ask her to tell me what the numbers mean with respect to my kidney function because I am not familiar with the abbreviations, or to put it another way, the medical terms. She is not disturbed to give me the lay man's interpretation. I sometimes get the sense that the appointment must follow a set period of time that she has to adhere to, but she does ask before she leaves if I have any questions, and if I do, she does not hesitate to take the time to respond. I feel she is providing me with excellent care for my kidney health.
