Even thou it took a half hour past my appointment time to get in the room. The doctor took her time and really talk about my condition. And genuinely seem to care about my well mean.
My PCP Dawn Koterbski is the kindest, most caring, most empathetic PCP I've ever had. She knows me and my chart without looking because she gets to know her patients. She goes above and beyond to assist me in my self care/medical journey, even though I have a plethora of issues. Advocate is lucky to have her on staff, and I am lucky to be her patient. However, my most recent appointment was at 2:30 - I sat in the exam room for literally an hour before she was able to come in. There's obviously an issue with overscheduling at her location. I truly love my PCP, but if overscheduling continues to be an issue causing me to wait a lengthy time for my scheduled appointment, I will have to consider switching to Northwestern. I truly hope other patients speak up. Honestly I wish the staff would speak up. Overscheduling, as you know, can lead to mistakes being made and can cause burn out with the staff. Please do better Advocate. Patients such as myself depend on our amazing health care providers to keep us safe and healthy, and quite frankly need the personal connection. Otherwise just call us by our chart number instead of our name and prove further that profit is more important than your patients.
