I made the appointment with this provider specifically to continue prescribing the medication ive been on for 10+ years as ive recently moved to the other side of the state. I called their office when I made the appointment and made this clear. I was told there would be no issue. At the appointment, the nurse practitioner informed me that she would not write a prescription for my medication. She wanted to change my ADHD medication to a lower dosage and switch to an extended release formula. I explained to her that I've tried the extended release type and had side effects. I've also tried all of the alternatives with the same result. I've been on the same dosage and type for years, it works well, and I don't want to change it. Her response was I needed to see a different provider. When I asked who I could go to that would prescribe it, she said I'd just have to call around. Other than that, she was very kind. I would have been happy to keep her as my provider. The staff was quick and on top of their duties. Before I seen the nurse practitioner, I asked to get vaccinated afterwards. I was a bit overwhelmed with the situation and ended up walking out before getting the shots. Before I even got in my vehicle, the front desk called me to ask if I still wanted the vaccines. I went back in, it was quick and easy. Unless you need ADHD medication, this is a very good provider.
