Dr. Shastri is a very busy doctor. I feel that he listened and is very competent. I believe we spent the amount of time we had as efficiently as possible on the most important things, one of them being a change in meds.
It is very difficult to obtain a timely appointment with Dr. Shastri. He gives instructions for a return follow up appointment for four months. However, the earliest available appointment is six to eight months out and I had to schedule an appointment to see him at a clinic farther away from my residence in order to see him for follow up in eight months rather than ten months. Dr. Shastri sees patients at three clinic locations and is spread very thin. It seems to me that there is a need for additional endrocrinologists on staff.
