Dr Shastri has helped my diabetes tremendously. He is a great doctor.
I've had excellent interactions with Dr. Shastri in years past but this time felt rushed right from the start of the nurse taking me back to the room. She wasn't personable, didn't run down the list of usual questions related to possible thyroid issues, and dismissed/didn't fully acknowledge all of my symptoms that could possibly lead to answers with what's going on with other health issues, so they didn't get passed along to the doctor. I realize I was the second appointment of the day and they need to keep on schedule, but the whole experience felt rushed. One positive is that Dr. Shastri acknowledged the request of my PCP to order related blood tests. I would recommend him based on past experience because I would say this recent experience is more a result of the system than individual healthcare professionals.
Dr Shastri is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to thyroid issues.

Dr Shastri is always very thorough and explains everything well. He gave me a reference for a spinal doctor because I told him I was having some back pain. I really like him.
Dr Shastri was his usual friendly, helpful self. His nurse however seemed slightly rude to me. I get extremely nervous when going to the dr so tried to have some idle chat with her to calm my nerves and she didn't seem to want to talk to me. Of course this was just my perspective and could have been just because I was nervous. It was not because they were behind schedule as I was actually taken to the exam room before my appointment and I was done with my appointment 5 mins after my scheduled appointment time.
Wonderful experience with the Doctor and staff. I felt comfortable with his knowledge and experience with my medical condition.
