The nurses were extremely compassionate and helpful.
Everyone in the office is professional, courteous and kind. They know what they're doing and run a great medical office.
I wasn't sure if the provider asked about my past treatment in order to hear it from me (to see what I understood about it) or if he hadn't had a chance to review the chart. Either way, we had a good, thorough, well-reasoned conversation. I appreciate how Dr Dodd proposed treatment-he very clearly connected my body, health & prior treatment into the decision-making rationale. I left with a clear understand of how he assessed my options & why. I didn't feel rushed which is important when making surgical decisions. He clarified my options in a way that hadn't been done previously at a different hospital. The nurse made a point of giving me her card at the end of the appointment in case I have further questions. She made sure we had Dr Dodd's card as well. Such a simple yet warm way of closing the appointment.

Dr. Dodd is good at his job, however, I wish he had better bedside manner. He doesn't make you feel comfortable, especially if you are already nervous about a procedure. He just left the room without explaining what occurred and end results.
Nursing staff in Dr. Dodd's office was exceptional
The doctor was very knowledgeable. During my procedure, the doctor, the nurse and the surgical tech were talking about their personal lives. But I found that conversation very unprofessional. I was asked if I was doing ok, which I appreciated. I just felt like they were talking as if I wasn't in the room.

I believe there is an opportunity to learn from a patient stand point here. I was referred from derm with a 1/2inch lesion, if it was explained that I would have a 4 inch incision to clear the margins, I would not of looked like a deer in headlight lights. Dr Dodd took the time to draw on my arm an fully described the scar, an it would be the full width of my arm. Having anxiety an htn it was very hard to keep calm. Had I had patient education before walking into Dr Dodds office this would not of been so stressful.
Dr Dodd has been the best from the very beginning through surgery and all the follow up visits. He and his staff go above and beyond to his patients.
