I was prescribed an inhaler for "wheezing" which is not really a problem for me - except intermittently. It is not a treatment for the cause of concern in my CT scans. It is treating one symptom, but not a treatment for the cause. And, at $84 per inhaler to treat a symptom but not to address the cause, is of concern to me and my care. I feel resentment from the provider because he does not have a ready or easy answer to why this is happening to me. And, while he ordered a pulmonary function test for me when I saw him earlier this year, no one ever contacted me to set up an appointment. At this visit, he claimed that he would ask his staff as to why the test was not done. He ordered another one, but three weeks after the appointment, I have not been contacted for an appointment, despite his assurances. Also, his office is nearly an hour away from my home. If the distance warranted satisfaction with my care, I would not be concerned. So far, my two visits have been less than satisfactory. I do not feel that my time has been well spent.
