The new location for Dr. Hamada seems to feel very cold and impersonal compared to her previous location.
Wait times at Advocate are historically always long. Plan to wait at least 45 -60 mins for your scheduled appointment. If you need tests done, that's additional waiting time. GPS on GoogleMaps, Applemaps and Waze all direct you to Tacobell - not the actual Advocate building. Good luck contacting anyone if you're lost- There is also no way to contact Dr.Hamada's office or their front desk since the move. The number listed is automated and no matter the buttons you select to speak to someone, you end up being hung up on. Inexcusable to have no option to speak to a human. While in the room, be prepared for staff to interrupt the doctor during your ~10 minute appointment.
New offices are huge, not quite as comfortable. Seems a bit sterile.
My appointment was for 8:30 the doctor did not come in until after 9. I had to ask if the doctor was going to see me

Parking at the new Randall Rd. facility is terrible. Patients with difficulty walking had better make appointments for before all those stores open because just the gym next door takes most of the near spaces. Try to get more spaces designated handicapped.
Dr Susan Hamada is stellar

Dr. Hamada is great. Very caring, always listens to you. I have been with Dr. Hamada for my health care for many years. The new clinic on Randall Road in South Elgin is very cold and institutional. The hallways are stark--the atmosphere feels like a large super center retail store. I encourage Advocate to do something with the blank hallways to add a more human element. Very unpersonal, very austere decor. Some colorful paint and graphics would help give a more pleasant aspect to the building. I am very grateful for Dr. Hamada and the good care she provides. I hope something will be done to address the clinic's atmosphere.
