Due to insurance I had to change my Internist of 20 years. My history includes cancer and a heart attack at young ages. I spent alot of time at doctors appointments and hospital. That is why it is scary for me to switch MD's at this point of my life. I went to my appointment anxious. There was an issue with my last name at the front desk but she was very nice and welcoming. She brought me in the room. It was during that time I heard the MA and or nurses talking about another employee. (not very nice comments) I was shocked and sad at the same time. The MA or nurse who did my vitals, medication reconciliation, and history was excellent. Dr Patel was very thorough and very kind. I do wish I would have known that she was going to be on maternity leave prior to my visit but that is not a big deal. We talked about blood work being done. I had fasted so I asked if we could just do it today. She agreed. Because of my past history with cancer getting my blood drawn is scary to me still. The MA or nurse who came in to apparently?? draw my blood. I say apparently because she never said introduced herself or what she was there for. She instructed me to put my arm on the table in a position that is not possible for me. I place my other arm down. Until it was over I asked if I could see the labels to confirm my name and DOB. There was a minor exchange on my way out and I exited. I really wanted to find this doctor and staff a good fit for me. I however do not feel it is a good fit for me or my family and will not returning. I do ask that my name be anonymous please. I do not anyone to get in trouble or god for bid fired but to just be aware.
Dr. Patel takes the time to listen to me and seems to genuinely care about my health.
I quite pleased with Advocate staff, doctors and nurses as well as the professional atmosphere!
Dr.Patel is a very caring Provider. She is a good listener and always encourages me to reach out if I need anything or to answer any questions and/or concerns.

I had introductory appointment with Dr Shreya Patel & she is punctual in time. She listen & advised nicely regarding food, exercise etc.

The Doctor is great but that nurse/phlebotomist who worked with me wasn't very friendly or willing to accommodate me.
I was really nervous about my visit at the medical office and was experiencing alot of anxiety prior to my visit however during every stage of my visit the people I interacted with were super welcoming, helpful, respectful, provided me with lots of information and made me feel like family. To be able to relearn how to trust people in the medical field after traumatizing hospitalizations, that took alot of time to get over the fear. Thank you
