Dr. Barker is always attentive to your needs and any questions you may have. If it is not in her line of expertise, she will always refer you to someone who knows. She's very kind and makes you feel comfortable even when she's talking about difficult things.

Her first question is usually, How have you been since your last visit? The answer does not always give her information on my condition, but also on what is going on in my family. She listens and responds to what I am saying, providing answers or enough questions to help me make an informed decision. If I have a question or problem in between visits, I send her a message through livewell. Her office responds to my concerns promptly. Because I have a unique medical condition, I know the answers through livewell are based on conversations the staff have had with her. Not only does she listen, she shows compassion for what I might be going through. I recently lost a brother and shared that with her. She paused and allowed me to express my grief. She remembered that it was the brother who had been having some health challenges. She understands that a patient's mental condition can also impact their physical condition.

Dr. Barker, was very caring and showed her interest and concerns about my care. I appreciate her.
