I have been a patient of Dr. Nolan's for well over a decade. She has amazing bedside manner, and I love that she believes in including the patient in their own care. As a nurse, this is something that is extremely important to me.

I am unhappy with the structure of the Medicare wellness visit. I thought I was having my annual physical, but no physical assessment was done other than listening to my heart. I appreciated receiving my pneumonia vaccination and being told to schedule my colonoscopy and bone density tests, but again, there was no physical assessment. This is not the doctor's fault...the problem lies with Medicare rules.

The appointment felt like the doctor was measured by the amount of patients seen in a day and training students, not the quality of care. Even though I am extremely healthy, I deserve atleast 15 minutes annually, or as much time needed, of the doctors time to discuss health related topics.... not even a hello, how are you or general conversation. The Common Care Healthcare Cooperative, through Aurora, costs approx. $825 per month, with a $9,000 deductible. In the past two years, I have had two annual physicals, under 10 minutes each, and a mammogram, which took almost a month for my results to arrive. This is not acceptable quality care.
I've been going to Dr. Nolan for sometime now and I always get good care when I visit Dr. Nolan. She is very caring and understanding. I really enjoy being a parent of hers.
