Dr. Khan and his entire staff have been the BEST during both my knee replacements. Have recommended him to others. Actually our (my husband's and my) recovery has spoke volumes of his work.

I waited for approx 40 min in the room before I was seen, and the re-eval took only about 5 min

I was frustrated when it took an extra 2 weeks to be seen. My appointment was set and I came in, checked in, paid my copay and waited about 30 minutes to be told he was on vacation. He was quite kind and apologetic when I told him this. I know it can be difficult to keep good help, but both times EVERYONE up front seemed to be new and in training.

As it was my fault for being five minutes late, I can only assume this didn't help getting seen in a timely manner. The doctor was very blunt and to the point of his explanations. I am an overweight woman, who has difficulty with losing weight for the sheer fact that I have some ailments that don't allow me to exercise or take walks. Docs are trying to find causes for these ailments, but it's a time process with appointments being scattered for testing. This doctor is a knee doctor. His concern is for planning my knee surgery, which can possibly bring on infection because of my body fat. He said I could choose to lose weight or take my chances. If I chose to lose weight, it could take me a year or two since I can't exercise much, along with a very tight diet, because of my other ailments. Lower abdominal issues, arthritis in lower back, and left hip joint issues that popped up while doing my physical therapy at home, shortens the ability to do certain exercises. I am undecided if I should choose the surgery. A little chicken about it. But all in all, this doctor was very blunt and to the point, and about being considered morbidly obese, which I know I am, which was very blunt and truthful, but it hurt a little, and I believe he could've been a little softer about that. Tell me in a way that doesn't sound so accusing, maybe. I already don't like myself about my weight issue, and unhappy not to be able to walk or do things like I used to. Getting an operation, with being overweight, and having other ailments other than a knee issue, all scare me about going thru this operation and the aftermath. Not his fault I am who I am. Just be a little bit more understanding of all the ailments that stop me from walking or living a normal get up and go life.

Dr. Khan is so helpful and explains very well the options. I feel so relaxed when I saw the needle because I can see I'm in good hands. His staff are also helpful and accommodating.
