I was not pleased about the whole experience. I wasn't able to get this appointment with my PCP. The doctor I saw did not really know my health history. The problem I went in with was never addressed fully. I felt I didn't have enough time to get into depth with my problem. I did have some tests done at this appointment, but when they came back normal I was not advised to look further into my health issue. I have a PCP but I never get to see him unless I book an appointment months in advance. I'm very disappointed that Advocate promotes having a PCP, but I never get to see mine when I really need a doctor.
The excessive focus on BMI and weight should not be the primary focus of a provider. Countless studies have shown that weight is a more complex issue than judging a ratio (BMI) and providers should utilize this knowledge in their care.

She is a very detailed Dr. I am going for eye surgery and she checked me out thoroughly. In addition she talked me through exactly what I have to do and what meds to take what I have to take and I don't know what to expect out and I really appreciate it. I would certainly recommend her to other people.
Have been happy with the caregivers at Advocate. Plan to stay in the Advocate System.
