This was my first visit with Dr. Starr. She was wonderful! I felt so comfortable with her, she made me feel like I'd been seeing her forever. In fact her nurse was also just as wonderful. I'm so happy that I decided to make this change and choose Advocate.

I felt in great hands and she went above and beyond. She check me out thoroughly compare to the care I was getting at another location. I feel since this is my first pregnancy and it's a high risk that I am safe in her hands based on her knowledge and professionalism.

The girls sitting at the reception area could have been more warm and welcoming. They were reclined in their chairs and turned toward each other having a casual conversation when I walked into the office, and they didn't greet me or make eye contact when I entered. Upon walking up to the counter, one of the girls turned her head toward me slightly and raised her eyebrows at me as if I was bothering her by interrupting her conversation. She didn't smile, greet me, or ask me what I needed, so I had to tell her my purpose for visiting. She was helpful and efficient when checking me in for my appointment, but she ultimately seemed annoyed and disinterested in helping me. It did not feel like a warm, welcoming, or kind interaction despite reception being the first point of contact for patients.
It's very unclear how to access the health portal after the appointments to obtain test results
This was the worst gyno consultation I've ever had in my life. When addressing my concerns, the doctor repeated everything I would find in a google search. She blamed everything on my birth control. Didn't ask me about my symptoms. I asked for a hormonal exam because both my father and my sister are physicians and she was the most condescending, patronizing and insulting woman I've ever encountered in the medical field.
Dr. Starr is the best doctor I have ever had. She is attentive and caring always; I never leave with a question unanswered. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an OB/GYN. I look forward to many more years in her care.
