Dr Merlo is an excellent doctor. She listens carefully and explains things in an understandable way. We never feel rushed.

I mostly go to Dr. Merlo for my annual physical where she basically goes over my bloodwork and listens to my heart. I have a thyroid condition and I had to ask her to feel my thyroid, which I haven't had issues with, but I would think it should be checked/felt annually. It would be nice to be asked if I have any health concerns or questions. If I do bring them up, I feel like shes tends to brush them off since its not part of the physical. I understand having to keep to a schedule, but I often feel rushed, including this last visit. I had the first appointment of the day at 8 a.m. and she didn't come in until 8:15 due to chatting with a staff member about personal, not patient stuff (I could hear them talking from my exam room). I don't mind waiting 15 minutes for a doctor if I know they're going to give me their time when its my turn, but having to wait for this reason doesn't sit well with me. That being said, I plan to continue to see her as I feel she's been a good doctor for me in general, I just wanted to share my feelings about feeling rushed. Thank you
