This was a very bitter sweet appointment with Dr Raskovich, always been my GP for the last 15 years. Bittersweet because it was my last appointment with her. Advocate medical group has decided to no longer except my Blue Cross Blue Shield Advocate, HMO. That means this wonderful woman I've seen for the last 15 years I no longer can effective in a few days. She knows my history and I am beyond comfortable with her. This only adds to the long list of doctors, I can no longer see. I have been dealing with cancer for many years. I had a wonderful team of doctors all working with me. And now I no longer can. They all know this rare type of cancer I have and we had a plan in place. But now I have to start from scratch with all new doctors. Additionally, I am have to find a new nephrologist because I only have one kidney that was taken when I was diagnosed with cancer in my one kidney. I have had issues with my ear, nose and throat. And need to find a new ENT center. I need to find a new podiatrist. I need to find a new urologist. I need to find a new neurologist, in addition to a few other specialists. All these doctors were in place and have been working with them for a very long time, now I have been kicked to the curb. Oh, and by the way, only six weeks notice that this was happening. Epic fail. I find it very hard to believe you didn't know about this months ago and couldn't have the courtesy of letting us know. You have no idea how this has affected me. This is been completely overwhelming for me. The trusting relationships I had developed over the years in my care team and have developed over the years are now gone. So thank you Advocate medical group for turning my life upside down.
