Puts the patient first when choosing how to select procedures for proper care, taking past experiences into consideration. For example, agreeing to use the groin for a cardiac cath rather than the wrist after my previous horrible experience with the wrist as an entry point. Explains risks of various choices of treatments as well as success rates.
