Dr. Girolami was kind, listened carefully and adjusted my medications to help with some of my issues. Very understanding and informative. I've found my new primary physician.

Doctor Girolami is the bomb

Had a great visit with the doctor, but was very frustrated with the nurse that checked us in. I gave birth to our first son less than a week ago, and this was his first visit. So we were of course a little inexperienced on how things worked. Not to mention the overwhelming feeling of leaving the house for the first time with a baby, and my limitations due to my own healing. The nurse was incredibly cold and rude the entire time. Offered very little direction during the entire check in, and especially for getting his true weight. My husband undressed him and asked where the scale was, she told him to get a blanket and then scolded him for taking a half step to the stroller to grab it that he may roll off the table. Of course, safety is of the upmost importance but it was clear the child was in no danger and he was still within hands reach to grab. She made it seem like he would be taking him down to the scale alone, so he asked where it was located and we got , "down the hall." So he started to head out and that's when she finally turned around to offer assistance . After that I had a question about filling out the newborn paperwork, and if I should include the formula the hospital provided us during our stay or just the kind we'd be using moving forward. As I started to ask her, she instantly cut me off, saying the paperwork does not pertain to her and she won't be answering questions about it. It's a shame she made the experience so negative as I feel it could have all been easily avoided with even the smaller amount of direction and compassion for a couple new parents trying to do our best. Again, can't stress enough how great everyone else was from reception and the doctor. This is solely for the nurse.
