Lisa Tuszka was thorough in her assessment, detailed in her explanation of the stepwise plan for diagnostics and companionate with her bedside manner. She went above and beyond to advocate for patient care in a timely manner for follow up care.
This was just for a med check, I am not a fan of having to pay for a drug test, if it is your policy it should be something you pay for since the doctor is not able to make the decision if it is necessary on a patient by patient basis.
Overall my experience was great! I was seen within 2 minutes of entering my room. The nurse was very nice/pleasant and after the nurse left, Lisa came in within 5 minutes. Lisa is very nice and makes me feel super comfortable every time I see her.
I'm not sure what I expected as a first time patient, however, I thought there would be an exam versus strictly speaking with the Practical Nurse and the Nurse Practitioner.

I am seeing this provider for fertility issues. This is my first experience with Aurora and it has not been overly positive. My first appointment was scheduled incorrectly, which led it to be cancelled and I was not notified until I showed up for the appointment. I was then rescheduled for the following week and received a call two days before indicating that my appointment would again be cancelled if I did not complete an intake form via LiveWell. I was never notified of the need to complete this form, so it was super stressful to have to rush to complete it so I wouldn't have my appointment cancelled (again). My regular healthcare provider referred me to this fertility specialist but completed a series of tests and blood work to send over prior to the appointment. The recommendation I was left with was to have all of these tests redone at Aurora and an extremely limited path forward. At this point, I am feeling discouraged and frustrated- I am unsure if I want to continue seeing this provider (or anyone with Aurora for that matter).
