I refer to Dr H as Speed Queen as she is so fast in everything. Quick to answer questions but I sometimes feel like the visits are always a hurry up and move on scenario. But I do like her breezy personality.
I know this provider does not believe in doing blood draws to determine if supplements need to be added. She goes off of symptoms instead. However, I am curious about my baseline levels. I asked about taking testosterone, which she said I could try, but we won't know what my baseline was when I started. And, aren't there other hormones besides estrogen and progesterone to check? I understand that I am on the pill, and that that means those two are probably within normal limits, but are there others that could be checked? Maybe not?
Even though a pap smear is not my favorite thing to do the staff and Dr make the appointment quick easy and informative. Always top notch care!
I was appreciative of the way that Dr Harshbarger listened to me and we came to a decision together about how to move forward in treating my menopause symptoms. She is a great doctor who takes the time to discuss things with me.
