Annual physical was very abbreviated vs prior from other providers in Advocate. It was approx 15 min with doc, about 10 min with PA. No full physical exam, which we discussed during appt. I ( parent) was asked to leave before last segment, for short exam, but my minor age son said he would have preferred to have me there. I think Dr assumed he was 18? Unaware if there was typical review of health systems, lifestyle, suggested diagnostic exams and recommended ages etc. Very nice doctor, but did not seem to take time to get to know patient, check mental health, etc like what he described in his Advocate website introductory video. As a parent of a teen, I would have really appreciated more time on this great important annual exam, esp with transition to adulthood.
Thorough and timely
I know it is hard for the doctors as they are constrained by the time allowed them. Being able to send questions through the portal is helpful. I try to come with a list, but sometimes I forget a question. The other staff both medical and clerical were helpful.
Visit with Dr. Koo was very good.
