Dr. Lee is a knowledgeable and caring provider with a personable bedside manner. My problem lies in trying to schedule a procedure over the phone that was ordered by the physician. It took 8 phone calls to finally schedule the procedure but not until late February. The new call center that has been implemented is nothing less than an exercise in frustration with an apparent disconnect between Advocate Dreyer and the rest of this healthcare conglomerate. I've been a patient at Dreyer for 40 years and the larger they get the more the patient suffers. I get the distinct impression that profit comes before anything else even for a nonprofit organization.
She answered all my questions and ordered lab work to see if a recent medical problem was improving or not and then had her office give me the results the following day.
Sometime maybe take more time with their patients. They ask if you have questions but sometimes the questions don't come right then and there

I have been going to Dr. Lee for a number of years. However, this time I did not feel like I was being understood or heard correctly. It felt more like a parent-child relationship instead of health partners. I will be seeking care from another provider within the Advocate network I feel that our relationship has deteriorated. This narrative is not about who is right or who is wrong. But my feelings are my feelings. I no longer feel cared for. However, I understand signs of burnout.....hers and mine. I appreciate the care she has given me up to this point. But it's time I moved on.
