Dr Frank clearly looked over my medical record ahead of time & reviewed it in detail with me. She was diligent in following up with my care and provided supportive advice on how to maintain my health & wellbeing.

It was not the providers fault. She did not have adequate history and background to do a qualified assessment of the situation. As a patient and my care giver we should have been able to give her an adequate background prior to the appointment. 30 minutes is not enough to make a qualified assessment in this case. Additional time to process the information would be helpful to actually diagnose all the idiosyncratic issue involved. There are brain issues from surgeries, bad experiences with doctors and hospitals, poor recovery time recommended from aforementioned professionals. A lack of listening and understanding of the previous case work. On our part not knowing all the terms of medications that have tried and failed but, that should be in the My Chart. The frustration of experiences of a person with a brain injury or brain surgery requires a special understanding. Not all Medical Professionals have that. Most medical professionals like to spout quotes from "the book" and not understand the subject needs. We understand that insurance drives the industry but, that needs to change. Personal connection is what changes care not 15 minutes and the latest drug. Drug applications have ramifications that are different with each patient. We have experience with antidepressants that have created suicidal thoughts and actions. Bottom line, keep driving care givers to do what you desire and keep experiencing law suits. Seek first to understand and then to be understood. Take the time, it's called patient care. Save you and your customers some $
