Both this post op visit with the FLcystogram and the surgery one week earlier at St Luke's was so much more pleasant and organized than has been my experience at the Hartford and Slinger clinics the past 2 years. I was planning on moving to a different heath care provider after my prostate surgery case was fully resolved because I was unhappy with being assigned a new primary care person and the multiple changes in personnel at Hartford and Slinger. Didn't want to switch in the middle of dealing with my prostate cancer. My observation of Aurora (especially since the merger with Advocate) is the primary care people are just "checking boxes" on how they are supposed to care for patients and are being pushed to maximize the number of people they can move through the clinic. Why did a very large facility like St Luke's have a much more caring feel to me as a patient that I don't seem to get at the smaller Hartford and Slinger clinics? Never felt I was given inferior medical care at Hartford or Slinger from a technical standpoint. Now I am thinking of perhaps trying a new primary care person and giving Aurora one more chance.
