We had this well child appointment scheduled for 6 months. When my son developed a cough, we didn't want to cancel as it was so hard to get an appointment in place that works for our schedule. We were not told that the doctor was changing the visit type and billing us differently. Instead, it was noticed on the after visit summary by the parent who could not attend after the fact. This is super inconvenient as now we owe hundreds of dollars instead of it being covered by insurance like we thought. We had no concerns about our child's health, we know how to care for their cough. This was super deceitful and highway robbery
