My experience was hindered because while she said all the right words, her tone and expression were saying something completely different. This was my first time meeting her. I was open and honest about my goals and I left feeling like she did not hear what I had to say. I have made many changes in my life to live healthy, and there was no recognition of the positive steps forward, only comments about how far I still have to go. I am looking to feel encouraged, supported and challenged by a physician. She did none of these things in my first visit. I left feeling like I was a failure.
