I don't feel it was necessary because it seems like my regular doctor could have told me what he did. He explained my issue within the first 10 minutes. He said it was common. It seemed like the answer was something a general care doctor should have known and saved me the $40 co-pay for a specialist. I'm retired and on a fixed budget...I could have used that $40 towards food or medications.
