Awesome, caring DR!
I've been seeing Dr. Morris for over 15 years. I keep coming back to him because I trust him, he listens to my questions, and makes me feel as though my health is important.
Dr Morris is the best providing great options
Is friendly and cares about patients
Dr. Morris is fantastic! He delivered my first baby and I hope he gets to deliver my second. What I'm disappointed in this group is that now I won't get the chance to meet all the doctors before delivery. I'm also in healthcare and used to work with Advent Health so I do understand from a business standpoint why this change was made but here's the reality. Obstetrics is not the area to make your easy buck. Pregnancy is scary in itself so as patients, we want to know, or at least have met, the doctor who is going to be helping us deliver our children which is by far the hardest thing in the world. If Dr. Morris wasn't still with this practice, I would've looked for a private practice but I'm hopeful he'll get to be my doctor the second time. At some point, people do need to come first, not money.
Dr. Morris is an exceptional physician. He knows his patient, he is thorough in his examination and he is engaging and listens intently during visits. He is knowledgeable, and I can trust him with his opinion. I feel confident in his assessments and appreciate his guidance.
He cares about my health and is very competent
First off, little eye contact was made by the provider from the start of the appointment to the finish. The provider walked in the room, sat down in the corner and looked at his computer the whole time appearing to make sense of or remind himself of the details in my chart as though there was no review or preparation prior to my visit. I was then accused by him at the very start of my appointment that I had been "shopping around" and "bouncing between emergency departments and doctors", which I found to be incredibly inappropriate, insensitive and inaccurate. When given a chance to talk and defend myself (by the way, a phrase I never thought I'd use describing an encounter with a doctor) I tried to make it clear what my story was and that I was following the instructions/recommendations given to me by medical teams including Advocate's emergency department, which told me in person and in writing that I needed to follow up outpatient with this exact provider in a timely manner since this provider was consulted during my ED visit and "knew my case and had access to my imaging and test results, etc". This provider then proceeded to tell me even his medical assistant didn't know why I was at the appointment and that the appointment in general was basically a waste of my time (and apparently his), which given my experience I agree completely. Furthermore, besides my blood pressure and pulse oximetry readings acquired by the medical assistant, nothing else was examined or completed during my appointment. Perhaps nothing else was indicated? I'm not sure, I'm not an OBGYN and won't pretend to be. But this provider, I swear, didn't even ask me how I was even feeling. Overall, never in my life have I felt this level of distrust and disrespect from a medical professional.
Dr Morris is awesome! His office got me in quickly, he saw me, and he gave me all good information. I highly recommend him.
He is excellent
