I will be changing providers. This was not the first instance where I felt the provider did not listen to me, but focus on one thing only, and even this time when I tried to have a conversation about the "issue" I was fairly disregarded. I don't actually agree AT ALL with the offer of a weight loss pill offering, when not asked for. And especially not without asking about my diet, my nutrition, my workouts, my goals. Had my provider asked about my nutrition he would have seen that I track it down to a % daily, but instead just offered weight loss pills, when I did not ask for them. Additionally when I said I noticed a weight gain after starting to take medication there was a disagreement that I've weighed this since he started seeing me, which IS TRUE, however another provider in the office began me on the medicine over a year prior to me seeing Dr. Hussain. I went on my own through my records and saw that yes, in fact when I did begin taking the medication I began gaining weight, but he did not go back in my records to see that. I'd much rather continue to focus on making sure I eat enough protein, work out and gain muscle than suppress my appetite, which is a very solid consistency of healthy foods and nothing considered "junk" at all. However my soon to be former provider would not know that because he did not ask at all, just looked at my weight and offered a prescription to a weight loss pill. I'm glad he did all my blood work to see that in fact my numbers are in a normal, healthy range so I have that data now.
