I tried to have a discussion with Dr Zaidi about a UHC housecall visit and tried to provide him with notations made by the NP regarding "pharm and non-pharm options." Dr. Zaidi didn't seem interested. Although I am in horrible pain (back,hip, upper extremities ) he just scheduled another spinal injection $$$ and ordered a new medication for me, without giving me any information/explanation regarding how this med works and side effects. After looking up this "med" on-line, I'm having great concerns... Dizziness, blurred vision?!?!? And how will this new med interact with a current med I'm on????? I seriously don't feel Dr. Zaidi took the time to notice that I'm already on a med that shouldn't be taken with the newly prescribed medication? Since I also have a history of glaucoma, the possible side effects of dizziness and blurred vision are also very concerning. So distressing that people with serious chronic pain, can no longer get the pain med that helped give an improved quality of life. Injections only give a limited amount of relief for a short time and the co-pays are costly, especially if you have a limited fixed income.
I am very grateful to Dr. Zaidi because he pushed until Insurance said OK and the Abbott back insert right I don't can't think what it's called but it's from Abbott is like a gift. It's incredible. The amount of pain down my right leg. It took away.
Dr Zaidi is one doctor who doesn't mess around. He has a puzzle with what's going on but he is trying to fix it. I like how he sets a next appointment in a few weeks. Not months down the road. Would let anyone who asks me about him I say he is great.
